Many Americans blame 'government welfare' for persistent poverty, poll finds
Thu Jun 6, 2013
Overall, social welfare pales when compared to corporate welfare. The poor can't afford the high priced attorneys that corporate America can. Look at the 700 billion plus bailout the bankers got for messing up the economy with their gambling. This is the United States not Bangladesh. With the wealth …
US declares potential emergency over new Middle East virus

I don't think it's an uncommon occurence. Corporate hospitals aren't close to what real hospitals used to be.
Some banks will pay you to open an account. What's the catch?
Wed May 29, 2013
It doesn't matter what pittance the bankers are using to drum up more business, they will get it back one way or another. After the bank bailout I fiasco I don't trust them any more than a rabid weasel.
Seven injured in Missouri as trains collide, trigger highway bridge collapse
Sat May 25, 2013
Obviously a case where somebody was asleep at the switch. Good thing they have a railroad union the those responsible don't loose their jobs. An accident like this simply shouldn't happen.
15-year-old held in stabbing deaths of two adopted brothers
Fri May 24, 2013
I think quite a few young people may be having a hard time dealing with their future, one that crumbles. Families being foreclosed out of their homes, parents loosing jobs. They become desensitized. It's really sad. What that poor family must be going through tonight.
First Thoughts: Obama to scale back drone policy
Thu May 23, 2013
“The rules will impose the same standard for strikes on foreign enemies now used only for American citizens deemed to be terrorists” This is dangerous stuff. Exactly who is the person or persons deciding who is a terrorist and how is that determined? So far we have seen that transparency …
White House aides learned of IRS details in April, but didn't tell Obama
Mon May 20, 2013
If they're not just taking the blame for the president....covering his butt in a tight situation, which wouldn't surprise me, they should be fired immediately.
The Fed's been good for Wall Street, not so much for Main Street
Mon May 20, 2013
In reply to: ProBusiness #1.1 Agreed, the problem is Wall Street is being pumped up with worthless money that's loosing value. When china and other countries cash in their bonds I'm not sure even Wall Street will survive. Meanwhile the rest of the middle class will collapse.
Ax hovers over food stamp program as costs grow
Sun May 19, 2013
Just a question..... I've read a lot of responses both pro and against the issuance of food stamps. For the life of me I don't understand when there are an extremely limited number of jobs for the population, especially ones that pay a living wage why would anyone deny those unemployed and underempl …
No. 1 swimming pool problem? It's number two!

Maybe instead of wearing nose plugs people should be wearing butt plugs......
Questions & Answers
Why do we let politicians hold our babies?
No way! Too germy, plus I don't trust 'em.
I feel it would be safer to let the family hounds lick my kids than let any politician hold my grandkids.
